New Delhi, 14 September (). The preview of the Cricket Walt Academy and Cricket Academy Premier League (CAPL) was held on Sunday at India International Center Annex, New Delhi, with a view to giving new direction to Indian cricket and carving talent from the grassroots level.
On this occasion, 2012 Under-19 World Cup winning captain and final star player Unmukt Chand, Academy founder Shivam Sharma and director Mohammad Arif jointly discussed this initiative in detail.
Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, Unmukt Chand’s guru and famous cricket coach Sanjay Bhardwaj were also present in the program. Both of them described the Cricket Walt Academy and CAPL as a historic step for the future of Indian cricket.
Unmukt Chand said, “India has immense talent at the ground level, but due to lack of right direction, training and opportunity, these talents do not come forward. Thousands of young players will get a right platform from the platform like CAPL, so that they can represent India internationally in the future.”
During the program it was announced that the first season of the Cricket Academy Premier League would begin next year.
This league is dedicated to those players who start cricket, but due to some reason the platforms are not able to grow further. His dream remains incomplete. The CAPL aims to give opportunities to more than 90 percent of the players who have not yet found a way to reach a big platform.
There is also a plan to launch a special mobile application through this platform, which will connect cricket academies and training institutes across the country with networking. With the help of applications, competitions will be organized at the district and state levels, from which the elected talented players will be given an opportunity to bring further at the national level.
Founder Shivam Sharma and Director Mohammad Arif said that this platform will bring opportunities not only for the players but also for the coaches and coaches. Along with training programs, basic requirements related to cricket such as bat, ball, kit and other facilities will also be made available through this platform, so that a player’s dream is not incomplete from lack of resources.
