Alwar .Union Forest and Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav and Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Forest and Environment Sanjay Sharma started the program by participating in the Alwar Bird Watching Festival organized at Silisedh Lake. Union Forest Minister Bhupendra Yadav, while wishing the general public on the Bird Festival, said that Alwar is not only a gift of nature, but is also a land of spirituality as the abode of Baba Bhartrihari. He said that more than 200 species of birds come to Alwar from all over the world, which is a center of attraction for the tourists coming here. He said that organizing Tiger Marathon and Bird Festival every year in February will help in promoting Alwar’s tourism at the global level.



He said that an international level Tiger Marathon will be organized on February 8 and a grand Bird Festival will be organized in Siliserh in February next year, in which people from all over the country and the world will come here and take the identity of Alwar to the world. He said that under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 98 Ramsar sites have been declared in India and for the first time in India, the subject of bird watching has been kept in the Union Budget and Alwar has also received this gift of nature. Union Minister Yadav said that the schemes which have been started with collective efforts in Alwar for environmental protection and development of Alwar have proved to be very effective. Meaningful efforts will continue to be made in this direction in future too. He said that Matruvan on Bhurasidh and Nagar Van on Kati Valley were established and the work of Biological Park on Kati Valley is in progress, which will play an important role in the direction of environmental protection. He said that Tiger Marathon has been started in Alwar with the aim of promoting tiger conservation, cleanliness and highlighting Alwar on the world map, in which 18 and a half thousand youth and common people have registered. During this, he encouraged the children by testing their knowledge regarding the species of birds and gave them information about the species of birds. Minister of State for Forests Sanjay Sharma said that under the able leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and the guidance of Union Forest Minister Bhupendra Yadav, historic work has been done in the direction of environmental protection in Alwar. He said that Bird Festival is organized in Udaipur, this time organizing Bird Festival in Alwar is a proud moment for the district. He said that the tourism of Alwar will get a boost through the Bird Festival being organized in Alwar. Also, people from India and abroad will be able to come here and do research on different species of birds. He said that in the Sariska area which had become devoid of tigers, at present 50 tigers and their cubs are roaming freely due to the efficient monitoring of the forest department. He assured that Bird Festival has been started today and by continuing this tradition, Bird Festival will be organized every year on 2nd February. Expressing his gratitude to Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav for giving the status of Ramsar site to Silisedh Lake, he called for making Alwar proud by giving the status of Ramsar site to Mangalasar Dam and Mansarovar Dam of the district.


He was honored with-Union Forest Minister Bhupendra Yadav and Minister of State for Forests Sanjay Sharma honored Personnel Ranger First Akbarpur Rajendra Prasad Sharma, Forester Tehla Saurabh Kumar, Forester Dharam Singh, Forest Guard Manisha Yadav, Forest Guard Ratan Gurjar, Home Guard Kailash Chand and Tiger Trekker Ravindra Sharma for their excellent work in wildlife conservation.
On this occasion, Director General of Union Forest and Environment Ministry Sushil Kumar Awasthi, Additional Director General Wildlife Ramesh Pandey, State Chief Chief Conservator Forest Pawan Kumar Upadhyay, Additional Chief Conservator Forest KCA Arun Prasad, District Chief Shri Balbir Singh Chhillar, Superintendent of Police Sudhir Chaudhary, Saras Dairy Chairman Shri Nitin Sangwan, DFO Alwar Shri Rajendra Hooda, DFO Sariska Shri Abhimanyu Saharan, enlightened persons, concerned officers and a large number of common people were present.
