Taking a scathing attack on the Congress, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday stressed that the mantra of the BJP government is “Citizen Devo Bhava”, where people should not face any inconvenience, while during the Congress rule, the citizens had to bear “suffering” and were “insulted”.
Addressing a gathering in Golaghat in Assam, the Prime Minister criticized the previous Congress-led Assam governments and alleged that citizens were insulted because they wanted to please a “special class”. The Prime Minister said, “The BJP government has only one mantra of development. That mantra is-‘The citizen gods’. That is, the citizens of the country do not have any kind of inconvenience for their small needs. The poor were harassed, humiliated, because the work of the Congress was happy.
Prime Minister Modi also informed about the progressive construction of 20 lakh concrete houses in Assam, which will be provided to the poor section of the society. He said, “We are working with the spirit that no poor, no area should be left behind. Today, the work of building a pucca house for the poor in Assam is also running fast. So far, more than 20 lakh pucca houses have been given to the poor in Assam.”
Prime Minister Modi described Assam as one of the major centers of the self -reliant Bharat Abhiyan and also expressed confidence in the state’s capacity towards the semiconductor mission. The Prime Minister also recalled the time when Assam’s tea was not recognized much; However, people turned it into a “global brand” in a very short time.
The Prime Minister said, “Today our country is showing the culmination of hard work for the self -sufficient India campaign. Assam is a major center of this campaign. I have full faith in the power of Assam, that’s why we have chosen Assam for a very big campaign, and that campaign is the semiconductor mission … In the period of slavery, Assam’s tea was not recognized as much, but the people of Assam made a global brand of Assam.”
Prime Minister Modi also emphasized the challenge of infiltration amidst continuous development works in Assam. He criticized the previous Congress governments and alleged that he sheltered intruders to spoil the state’s demographics for his vote bank.
He said, “Amidst these efforts of development, a challenge in front of Assam is becoming more and more. This challenge is infiltrated. When the Congress government was there, it gave land to the intruders and protected illegal occupation. Congress has spoiled the balance of demographics of Assam in the greed of vote bank. Now BJP government is fighting this challenge with the people of Assam … I am also fighting this challenge with the people of Assam … I would like. Under this, land leases have been given to millions of families … BJP is fully committed to remove historical injustice done to tribal society. “
Meanwhile, India got its first second generation ethanol plant on Sunday, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the bamboo-based refinery unit of Numaligarh Refinery Limited in Assam. The foundation stone of NRL Bio Refinery in Numaligarh was laid by the Prime Minister himself on 9 February 2019.
This is especially important news for Assam and the entire Northeast region, as bamboo is grown in abundance in these states. The ethanol mixture was only 1.53 percent in 2014. By 2022, India will achieve a 10 percent mixture rate five months before the scheduled time. By 2030, the original target of 20 percent mixture (E20) was increased by 2025 and has already been achieved in the current ethanol supply year (ESY).
Numaligarh is the first unit in the world to use the second generation bioethanol plant bamboo in Numaligarh.
It is a zero-mentor plant, as it is used by every part of bamboo to produce high-value industrial chemicals, such as Green Ferfural and Green acetic acids, which are used in APIs, food-grade carbon dioxide (CO2) and bio-coil. The plant also promotes pure zero emissions, producing 25 MW green electricity.
The Prime Minister said in this program, “Experts suggest that our oceans have important reserves of oil and gas. For the identification and effective use of these resources, we are starting the National Intensive Water Investigation Mission. Also, India is making remarkable progress in the field of green energy and continuous power generation. The country was lagging behind in solar power production till a decade ago, but now the country has been involved in the world’s top five countries.” The Prime Minister said, “Assam is the land that increases India’s energy capacity. Petroleum products produced here accelerate the development of the country. The BJP and the NDA government are committed to take the power of Assam to new heights.”
