Raipur . In the second episode of the 9th edition of the program ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi openly interacted with the students in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. During this, the PM said that if you want to touch the heights of success in life or become a leader, then first you need to become fearless, only then you can reach some place. PM Modi said that the real meaning of discussing the exam is to sit together and talk, understand each other and learn from each other. He told that this trend started from Coimbatore a few weeks ago and has now reached Raipur. Along with conversation, they also got a chance to taste the local flavours. At the beginning of the program, PM Modi greeted everyone by saying ‘Jai Johar’. The children also responded with full enthusiasm. During this, local children fed him Khurmi, which PM Modi ate and also distributed among everyone with his own hands.
During the dialogue, students felt free to put forward their questions. A student asked PM Modi that if he feels like traveling after the exams, then what are the places in India where students can go? On this, PM Modi said that one should start traveling not from very far, but from one’s surroundings. He advised that first make a list of your tehsil, then the district and then the places in the state which you have not seen yet. He said that in student life one should travel in a simple way, like traveling in a train compartment, taking food from home and getting experience by living among common people. This is the real tourism, from which one can learn a lot in life. India is a country so full of diversity that one lifetime is not enough to see it all.
A student asked a question about stress during exams. He said that sometimes questions are not formed, due to which the mind becomes disturbed. On this, PM Modi explained to the children that it is very important to have confidence in oneself before the examination. He said that whatever you have read and heard has not gone waste, it is stored somewhere within you. Instead of getting nervous during the examination, one should look at the question paper with a calm mind. Linking studies with sports, he said that just as a player becomes strong through continuous practice, victory and defeat, and competition, similarly a student also becomes strong through consistency and practice. He also told a special method and said that if you feel weak in any subject then make a friend of a student of your class who knows less about that subject and start teaching him. While teaching, your grip will become stronger.
On the question asked on the balance of sports and studies, PM Modi said that both education and sports are important for life. He warned that one should never think that if you are good at sports then there is no need for studies, or if you have enough studies then there is no need for sports. He said that be strong in studies as well as in sports, so that no one says that because you do not know how to study, you stay in the field. It is also important to have sports in life, because sports teaches us discipline and balance.
On the question asked about environmental protection, PM Modi said that protecting nature should come in our nature. He explained by giving small examples like turning off the water while brushing teeth, or pouring the leftover water from the house into the plants. He gave the example of a school, where a teacher inspired the children to bring waste water in a bottle every day and pour it on the plants and the entire school became green. PM Modi said that even small efforts can bring big changes.
In response to the question on leadership, PM Modi said that if you want to become a leader, then first of all you have to be fearless. He said that this thinking has to be developed that “Whether someone does it or not, I will do it.” When a person starts from himself, leadership starts developing automatically. He explained that leadership does not mean contesting elections or giving speeches, but convincing people and taking them along.
At the end of the program, PM Modi said that the discussion on exams is not limited to just preparation for board exams, rather it is a platform for open discussion on issues related to every aspect of life. The questions of the students also touch their hearts and it shows how aware and sensitive today’s youth are about life.
At the same time, the students expressed happiness after the conversation with PM Modi. The children said that it is like a dream for them to meet PM Modi and get a chance to learn by talking to him in this way.
