Israel’s military (IDF) has launched its largest ever military attack on Iran on March 4, 2026. It has been named ‘Broad Wave of Strikes’, in which big cities like Tehran, Qom and Isfahan have been targeted. Israel has taken this step in response to the continuous missile attacks from Iran. Where did the attacks take place in Iran and what is the latest situation?
The Israeli military claims to have destroyed Iran’s missile launch centers, air defense systems and military infrastructure. According to reports, the Presidential Office and the National Security Council building in Tehran have also been attacked. Meanwhile, there are reports of change of power in Iran and Mujtaba Khamenei has been elected as the new Supreme Leader. This war is no longer limited to Iran only, but Israel has also started bombing Hezbollah targets in Lebanon. The US Army has also targeted many Iranian targets and ships under ‘Operation Epic Fury’.

In view of the seriousness of the war, the Indian Embassy in Tehran has advised all Indian citizens to stay indoors and exercise utmost caution. Flight Update: Airlines like Air India Express and Indigo are running special flights to evacuate stranded passengers from Jeddah and Muscat.
Trade and Oil: Iran has announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, which poses a threat of stopping oil supply and increasing prices.
Dearness: People have started buying gold as a safe investment, due to which the prices of gold and silver have increased by 4%.
