In the list of top 10 SUVs in February 2026, Tata Nexon With sales of 19,430 units Took first position leaving behind Punch, Creta and Brezza
The SUV segment continued to dominate the Indian market last month. Many SUVs in the compact and midsize categories have recorded strong sales. The list of top 10 best-selling SUVs last month included popular models like Tata Nexon, Tata Punch, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Mahindra Scorpio, leading to tough competition in the segment.
Once again Tata Nexon stood first in the list. This compact SUV sold 19,430 units in February 2026, while 15,349 units were sold during the same period in February 2025. In this way, it has registered an annual growth of 27 percent. At second place was Tata Punch, which sold 18,748 units in February 2026. Its 14,559 units were sold in February 2025, giving it an annual growth of 29 percent.
Hyundai Creta also continued to perform well in the midsize SUV segment. It sold 17,938 units in February 2026, whereas 16,317 units were sold in the same month last year. In this way an increase of 10 percent has been registered. Maruti Suzuki Brezza was also not far behind. It sold 17,863 units in February 2026, while 15,392 units were sold in February 2025. In this way, its sales have registered an increase of 16 percent on an annual basis.

At the same time, the popularity of Mahindra Scorpio (including Classic and N versions) also remained intact. It sold 14,665 units in February 2026, which is a growth of 8 percent year-on-year compared to 13,618 units sold in the same month last year. On the other hand, sales of Maruti Suzuki Fronx have declined. Its 13,898 units were sold in February 2026, whereas 21,461 units were sold in February 2025, which means there has been a decline of 35 percent.
Recently launched Maruti Suzuki Victoris also made a good start and recorded sales of 13,021 units in February 2026. It is believed that this model may move higher in the ranking in the coming months. At the end of the list were Mahindra Thar, Hyundai Venue and Kia Seltos. Mahindra Thar sold 11,047 units in February 2026, compared to 9,248 units last year. In this way, sales have increased by 19 percent on annual basis.
At the same time, 10,494 units of Hyundai Venue were sold last month, which is 4 percent more than last year’s 10,125 units. Whereas Kia Seltos has achieved a growth of 60 percent with sales of 10,308 units in February 2026 as compared to 6,446 units last year. In recent months, due to the updates and new features received by these models, the interest of customers has increased further.
