Update on security of 40 lakh Indians and BAPS temple
Security remains the biggest issue for Indians living in Gulf countries. The UAE Ambassador has assured that about 40 lakh Indians living in the country are completely safe and the government is taking care of them. Prime Minister Modi himself has personally contacted the UAE leadership in this matter.
In view of the situation, strict security arrangements have been made. In this sequence, the BAPS Hindu temple located in Abu Dhabi has been closed till further orders. The temple administration has taken this decision keeping in mind the safety of the common people.
Apart from this, Indians are also being evacuated from Iran. According to the information, more than 30 Indian students have been evacuated safely through Armenia. The government is advising all citizens to stay in safe places.
UAE’s strict stance on Iran attacks
The UAE Defense Ministry has informed that a large number of air strikes have been foiled during the recent tension. The Army has successfully destroyed the following attacks in the air:
1342 Drone (UAV)
221 ballistic missile
8 cruise missile
Ambassador Alshali said that the UAE focuses on actions, not statements. He has demanded Iran to stop all attacks immediately and without any conditions. UAE has also appealed to the United Nations Security Council to condemn these attacks so that peace can be restored in the area.
This entire controversy started after the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a joint attack by America and Israel on 28 February 2026. Since then, diplomatic and military activity has intensified throughout Western Asia.
