A heart-wrenching news has come out from Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh. Here in Kila Cantonment area, a one month old innocent girl died due to hunger and disease. It is being told that the girl’s parents were unemployed and had gone to beg on Friday, leaving their three children alone at home. When they returned in the evening, the girl had stopped breathing. Police is busy investigating this matter.

What was found in the police investigation and post mortem report?
Kila police station in-charge Subash Kumar said that the police got information about this incident late at around 10 pm. The post-mortem of the girl has been conducted, in which the cause of death has been stated as ‘disease and infection’. However, local people and neighbors allege that the girl died due to hunger. Initial investigation has also revealed that the girl was severely malnourished and was born prematurely, due to which she was physically very weak.

This tragic incident has exposed the horrific scene of poverty in the area. Some key points about the family situation are as follows:
Father’s job: The girl’s father Mohd Shadab earlier worked in a kite string business, but he lost his job during COVID-19.
Means of livelihood: Father Shadab and mother Hina were forced to beg to run the house.
The children were alone: The parents had left this little girl at home with their 4 year old and one and a half year old children at 11 am on Friday morning and returned at 6 pm.
Previous History: Neighbors claim that the family had earlier lost a 6-month-old child.
home position: Due to poverty, the family was not able to pay the rent for the house and they have vacated that house also.
