Mumbai, March 29 (IANS). Union Minister Ramdas Athawale reacted to the increasing tension in the Middle East and possible war between America and Iran. He said that this kind of war is not good for the world and it should be ended through dialogue as soon as possible.
Ramdas Athawale said while talking to IANS that India’s policy has always been of peace. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also given his clear stand on this issue that war should stop and peace should be established.
He said that India has good relations with the three countries America, Israel and Iran, hence India is trying to ensure that all parties find a solution through mutual dialogue. Ramdas Athawale said that if this war escalates further, it will affect the entire world, which will not be good for anyone.
He suggested that there should be an agreement between America and Iran through a ‘compromise formula’, so that the situation can be prevented from worsening. At the same time, he also appealed to the people to be alert on the rumors spreading regarding LPG supply. He said that some people are spreading rumors unnecessarily, which is creating an atmosphere of fear among the public.
Ramdas Athawale clarified that there is no shortage of LPG or gas cylinders in the country. He said that the Petroleum Minister has already said that the country has enough gas stock for about two months.
He appealed to the people not to pay attention to any kind of rumors and there was no need to panic. The government is closely monitoring the situation and all necessary arrangements are being ensured.
He also reacted regarding West Bengal Assembly elections. Ramdas Athawale claimed that after the election results are out, Mamata Banerjee will step down from the post of CM and NDA government will be formed there with an overwhelming majority.
