Jodhpur Jodhpur, the cultural capital of Rajasthan once again witnessed a very special wedding ceremony. Two influential IPS officers of Uttar Pradesh cadre—K.K. Bishnoi and Anshika Verma started their married life by taking seven rounds with traditional rituals at the holy land of Jodhpur.
Despite holding high administrative posts, the biggest feature of this marriage ceremony was its simplicity and dignity. A traditional glimpse of Marwar was seen during the rounds taking Agni as a witness. The videos and pictures of this wedding are becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which the deep attachment of the officers towards their roots and traditions is clearly visible. An emotional video of the farewell during the ceremony has also surfaced, which netizens are quite impressed by. People on social media are appreciating that despite holding such high positions, both the officers gave priority to Indian traditions and family values instead of pomp and show.
Only family members and very close people attended this private ceremony. As soon as the wedding photos became public, the newlyweds are receiving lots of good wishes from administrative circles and the general public across the country. People are calling it one of the ‘most decent marriages of bureaucracy’.
