Trading will remain completely closed not only in the equity market, but also in the commodity market. There will be no trading on MCX in both morning and evening sessions. Due to this holiday, investors are getting a long weekend, because the markets will remain closed on the coming Saturday and Sunday also.

Markets will remain closed on 14th April also

This is the second market holiday of this week. Earlier, the markets were closed on March 31 on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti. Another holiday is scheduled for later in April; Indian stock markets will remain closed on 14 April on the occasion of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti.

3 April: Good Friday (market closed)
5-6 April: Weekend (Saturday-Sunday)
14 April: Ambedkar Jayanti (Market closed)

This means there will be some disruption in trading days this month; Therefore, investors should make their strategies accordingly.

Global markets will also remain closed
Globally, trading will remain closed in many major markets on the occasion of Good Friday. These include markets in the United States, Australia, Canada and most European countries. Trading took place in the global market yesterday. US markets opened with losses yesterday; The Nasdaq saw a decline of nearly 400 points, while the Dow Jones dropped nearly 650 points. The S&P 500 fell nearly 100 points. Earlier in the day yesterday, Dow futures had already fallen more than 600 points, and the Nasdaq had also fallen by about 475 points. Today a decline was also seen in the Asian market. Domestic stock markets were saved by a recovery in the last hours of trading; Otherwise, they fell as much as 2% during intraday trading.

How was trading yesterday?
Yesterday the domestic stock markets opened with heavy losses; However, after this big fall, the last hour of trading saw a strong recovery from intraday lows. Both Sensex and Nifty closed with gains. The market got support from strong buying in the IT sector. Sensex closed at 73,320, up 185 points. Nifty closed at 22,713 with a gain of 34 points. Bank Nifty closed at 51,549 with a gain of 100 points. Nifty Midcap Select closed at 12,394 with a decline of about 0.53%, while Nifty Smallcap closed at 15,650, showing a weakness of 0.38%.
