Prostate cancer is a type of cancer that develops inside the prostate gland. In this condition, a tumor (lump) begins to grow inside a man’s prostate gland; If it is not detected in time, its treatment can be difficult. Therefore, it is very important to have complete information about the symptoms of prostate cancer. Early signs and symptoms of prostate cancer can often be identified by changes in urination patterns. Here’s a guide to what prostate cancer symptoms look like:

intermittent urination
If urination is intermittent—that is, it starts and then stops—or if the urine comes only as drops, it may be a symptom of prostate cancer. This may also happen due to enlargement of the prostate gland.

Difficulty starting or stopping urination
With prostate cancer, people often have difficulty starting or stopping the flow of urine. A gradual loss of urinary control can be a warning sign of an internal problem related to the prostate.

frequent urination
If a man starts feeling the urge to urinate frequently—especially at night—then this symptom should not be taken lightly. Frequent urination can be a sign of prostate cancer.

Incomplete emptying of bladder
Even after urinating, the person may feel as if his or her bladder has not emptied completely, or that it is still a little full.

blood in urine
Blood in urine or semen is a warning sign of prostate cancer that should never be ignored; If this happens, doctor’s advice should be taken immediately.

Keep an eye on these symptoms too
Apart from urinary symptoms, prostate cancer can also manifest as many other physical signs. Pain in the bones of the lower back, hips, pelvis or thighs; sexual problems; unexplained weight loss; and a persistent feeling of tiredness or weakness throughout the body—these can all be symptoms of prostate cancer.
