Leader of opposition in Bihar and RJD chief Tejashwi Yadav launched a scathing attack on BJP on Thursday. He alleged that whenever elections approach, BJP leaders continuously resort to ‘baseless’ rhetoric and run a ‘divisive agenda’ to influence voters.
Responding to Home Minister Amit Shah’s comment in Araria regarding removal of infiltrators from Seemanchal, Bihar opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav clarified that there is no infiltration in the state. He stressed that it is entirely the responsibility of the central government to stop infiltration.
Yadav told reporters, “The Election Commission has clearly stated in its affidavit in the Supreme Court that there are no infiltrators in Bihar… Even if someone comes, it is the responsibility of the government to stop him… Whenever elections are held anywhere, BJP leaders make such baseless talks and run a divisive agenda.”
On Thursday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated ‘Leti’ and ‘Inderwa’ border outposts in Araria, Bihar. On this occasion he also e-unveiled and e-laid the foundation stone of several important infrastructure projects for Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). These projects aim to strengthen border security in the region.
During the event, the Union Home Minister declared that freeing Bihar from infiltrators is more important than the poll promises made for the upcoming assembly elections. He emphasized that the operation to remove infiltrators will soon begin from Seemanchal area of Bihar.
“Freeing Bihar from infiltrators was not just an election promise in the Bihar elections. The campaign to free the country from infiltrators will soon start from Seemanchal in Bihar,” Shah said.
He announced that the BJP-led government is committed to providing a permanent solution to the long-standing problem of illegal infiltration. Shah said, “Demographic changes resulting from encroachment and infiltration are extremely dangerous for the culture, history and geography of any country. The Modi government will provide a permanent solution to this.”
The Union Home Minister expressed confidence that this time BJP will form the government in West Bengal. He said the primary agenda of the new administration would be to complete the border fencing and expel every infiltrator from the state.
Shah further said, “At present, elections are going on in Bengal and I am confident that this time BJP government will be formed there. The first agenda of the government there will be to complete the work of fencing the border and selectively expel every infiltrator.”
