Noida . At present, the weather pattern in NCR is giving some relief to the people from the heat. Due to the movement of clouds in the sky, occasional hiding of the sun and strong winds, the scorching heat is still not felt. However, according to the forecast of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the temperature will continuously increase in the coming days and the maximum temperature can reach 38 degrees Celsius between May 10 and 12. According to the local forecast of the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature on May 8 is expected to be 34 degrees and the minimum will be 21 degrees Celsius. The sky will be mainly clear on this day and no weather warning has been issued. On May 9, the temperature is likely to rise to 36 degrees and reach a minimum of 24 degrees. On May 10, the maximum temperature is expected to be 38 degrees and the minimum will be 26 degrees Celsius. On May 11 also, the maximum temperature is expected to be 38 degrees and the minimum will be 27 degrees. During this period the sky may remain partly cloudy. On May 12, the temperature is expected to drop slightly to maximum 37 degrees and minimum 27 degrees, while on May 13, the maximum temperature may be 36 degrees and minimum 25 degrees Celsius.
The Meteorological Department has not issued any heat wave or other warning for the next five days. The effect of strong winds is also clearly visible on air quality. The Air Quality Index (AQI) in most areas of Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad is currently recorded as satisfactory and in the green zone. Chandni Chowk area of Delhi recorded AQI of 53, while Commonwealth Sports Complex and CRRI Mathura Road recorded AQI of 78. AQI was recorded at 94 in Alipore, 91 in Aya Nagar, 97 in Burari Crossing and 96 in Cantonment area.
However, the air quality remained in the moderate category with AQI being recorded at 122 in Anand Vihar, 103 in Ashok Vihar and 120 in Bawana. Talking about Noida, AQI was recorded at 79 in Sector-62 and 94 in Sector-125, which is in the satisfactory category. Whereas 102 was recorded in Sector-1 and 105 in Sector-116. Ghaziabad’s Sanjay Nagar recorded AQI of 75 and Vasundhara 90, while Indirapuram recorded 106, Loni 142 and Govindpuram 145.
The worst situation was in Ved Vihar-Loni area, where AQI was recorded at 203, which is considered in the poor category. Weather experts say that at present people are getting relief due to the activity of western disturbance and winds, but gradually the temperature will increase and by mid-May the heat will start showing its effect in NCR.
