New Delhi, May 8 (IANS). KPIT Technologies founder and chairman Ravi Pandit passed away on Friday in Pune at the age of 71. This information was given by the company in its exchange filing.
Dr. S.B. (Ravi) Pandit was the Chairman and Co-Founder of K&P Group and was instrumental in establishing KPIT Technologies as a global mobility technology company focused on automotive software and engineering solutions.
Under his leadership, KPIT Technologies expanded its presence to 15 countries and provided mobility software solutions to the automotive sector, including autonomous driving, electrification and clean energy technologies.
Apart from corporate leadership, Pandit was actively associated with several public policy, sustainable development and social initiatives.
He co-founded institutions such as Pune International Center and Janwani and supported policy research initiatives through the Center for Sustainable Development of the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (GIPE).
Pandit represented Indian industry at various national forums, including as Chairman of the Maratha Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) and contributed to several committees of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
Shares of KPIT Technologies were trading 0.61 per cent higher at Rs 726 per share on BSE in the session. The stock’s 52-week high is Rs 1,433 and 52-week low is Rs 625.
Earlier this week, the company reported a 33 per cent year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit for the March quarter at Rs 163 crore as against Rs 245 crore in the same period last year.
Despite the decline in profit, the company reported 12 per cent growth in operating revenue in Q4FY26 at Rs 1,711 crore as against Rs 1,528 crore in the same period last year.
