Mumbai, May 8 (IANS). Politics continues regarding the blasts in Jalandhar and Amritsar of Punjab. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had termed a BJP conspiracy behind this blast. In this series, former Rajya Sabha member of Shiv Sena (UBT) Priyanka Chaturvedi described the two bomb blasts in Punjab as extremely worrying and sought answers from the Central Government.
Speaking to IANS, Priyanka Chaturvedi said, “On one hand, the central government is telling the whole world about Operation Sindoor, but the answer to who was the main accused of the Pahalgam attack and what action was taken against him has not been received till date. If the ISI carries out a blast in Punjab, then it is a matter of concern. Home Minister Amit Shah should look into this matter, but he is busy in making the Chief Minister of West Bengal.”
Priyanka Chaturvedi said, “What Bhagwant Mann is saying is different, but when there is a BJP government at the Centre, if a blast is carried out by the ISI in Punjab, then the responsibility and accountability of the Home Minister becomes.”
Shiv Sena leader asked, did the Home Ministry have intelligence about the blast? If the information was there, was it shared with the Punjab government? Were security arrangements strengthened? The central government should answer all these questions.
Speaking to IANS on government formation in Tamil Nadu, Priyanka Chaturvedi said, “Vijay’s party TVK has emerged as the largest party. Respecting the people’s mandate, Vijay should be given priority because he is the party chief. There is a floor test in the Assembly. If something has to be proved, it has to be proved in the Assembly itself. It is the responsibility of the Governor and it is the constitutional order to invite the largest party, but an environment of horse-trading of MLAs is being created using the Governor’s office.” In such a situation, the anger of the people of Tamil Nadu will explode on the Governor.”
