New Delhi, May 8 (IANS). A day before the swearing-in ceremony of the new BJP government in West Bengal, party leaders on Friday said this is the ‘second independence’ the state has got after independence. He also expressed hope that the state will now move forward on the path of development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
It is noteworthy that BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari is going to become the first Chief Minister of West Bengal on Saturday.
BJP MP Raju Bista said this moment is all the more important because the country has seen one independence, but West Bengal has seen two independences. One from the British and the other from Congress, CPM and Trinamool Congress.
He further said that today the people of West Bengal want to move forward on the path of development in step with the country.
BJP MP Jyotirmoy Singh Mahato said that Trinamool Congress was running the government with people from only one community. But the coming government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will run with the slogan of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas’.
Mahato also said that the people of West Bengal will no longer accept the Trinamool Congress.
He said that the swearing-in ceremony in Bengal will be historic.
Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva said it is ‘important’ for the party to form government in West Bengal.
He claimed that Bengal has been deprived of development and has instead been known for exploitation and infiltration.
Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Diya Kumari, while congratulating the new government of Bengal, said that it is because of the hard work of everyone that our government is going to be formed with such a huge majority. The ongoing ‘Gunda Raj’, atrocities and appeasement politics in Bengal will now end.
