The Xiaomi 17 series is coming to the market soon. The official launch date is still secret, but according to a new leak, the series will be launched in China in the last week of September. This lineup is expected to include Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max models. It is currently available for pre-order in China. The new model Qualcomm Snapdragon will come with 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The phone may also have a Leica brand rear camera. Gizmochina quoted unknown sources as saying that Xiaomi 17 series will be launched in China on 30 September. Although Xiaomi has confirmed the launch this month, the exact date is yet to be announced. This lineup will include Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max models.
Xiaomi 17 series pre-booking has started in China through Xiaomi Mall. Xiaomi Pad 8 series will also be launched with the phone. The Xiaomi 17 series is teased with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. These can be the first devices to come with new mobile platforms.
The brand recently displayed the ‘Magic Back Screen’ of Xiaomi 17 Pro models. This feature acts like a secondary display and is integrated into the rear camera module. This call shows notifications and can run a widget like music control and stopwatch.
Possible specification of Xiaomi 17 series
The Xiaomi 17 series will replace the Xiaomi 15 series launched last year, with no ’16’ number. It is expected to get Leica brand camera, ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor and Android 16-based Hyperos 3.
According to Leaks, Xiaomi 17 Pro will have a 6.3-inch Ltpo display with 120Hz refresh rates and 1.1mm ultra-thin bezel. It can have a 6,300mAh battery and 100W wired charging support. The phone may have a triple rear camera setup which will include a 50MP primary camera, 50MP telephoto camera (5X optical zoom) and an ultravide camera of 50MP. It is also expected to be IP69 rated build.
Standard Xiaomi 17 can have a 6.3-inch 1.5k Ltpo OLED display and a 7,000mAh battery, which can support 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. It can get IP68 and IP69 ratings. Its camera setup is expected to include three 50mp sensors.
