After the increase in the prices of petrol and diesel across the country, now the general public has got another shock. CNG prices were also increased on Friday. CNG prices have been increased by Rs 2 per kg in the capital Delhi. This will put additional burden on the pockets of lakhs of people who drive daily.

Oil companies had already increased the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 3 each per litre. Now due to CNG becoming expensive, the possibility of impact on transport and household budget has increased.

What is the new rate of CNG today?

After the implementation of the new prices, the rate of CNG in Delhi has increased by Rs 2 more than before. It is believed that in the coming days, changes in prices may be seen in other cities also. It is also expected that the revised rates will be implemented soon in cities like Mumbai, Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurugram.

Impact of Strait of Hormuz crisis

According to experts, the increasing tension in West Asia and the crisis in the Strait of Hormuz have had a direct impact on the global energy market. Crude oil and gas are supplied to large parts of the world through this sea route. Due to the fear of supply being affected, the prices of gas and crude oil have increased in the international market.

Due to this, pressure on Indian oil and gas companies has also increased. Companies say that due to rising costs it became necessary to revise the prices.

Oil companies are facing huge losses

Government and private oil companies were facing rising costs for a long time. According to reports, companies were incurring losses due to selling fuel at old rates. In such a situation, after petrol and diesel, now the decision has been taken to increase the price of CNG.

Experts believe that if the prices of crude oil and gas continue to rise like this in the international market, then more inflation may be seen in the future.

Can rates increase further?

Energy market experts say that if the global situation does not become normal, further increase in fuel prices is possible. Especially if the gas supply is affected, the prices of CNG and PNG may increase again.

However, the government is continuously monitoring the situation. In the coming days, further decisions can be taken based on the international market and domestic demand.

The increase in CNG prices may impact taxi, auto and commercial vehicle drivers the most. At the same time, the monthly expenses of common people are also expected to increase.
