Aam Aadmi Party convenor and former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday criticized the ruling BJP government for repeated bomb threats received by the city. In a post on social media, Arvind Kejriwal said that no one has been caught yet despite repeated bomb threats to schools in a year.

Kejriwal wrote, “The schools in Delhi are repeatedly receiving bomb threats. Panic has spread everywhere, schools are closed and fear is spreading among children and parents … but in a year no one was caught nor any action was taken.”

The former Chief Minister of Delhi strongly criticized the government management of security in the national capital and emphasized that parents live in fear every day. Kejriwal asked, “The four-engine BJP government is not even able to handle the security of the capital. Parents are living in the shadow of fear every day. When will all this end?”.

Earlier, this morning many schools in different areas of Delhi received bomb threats through phone calls. The schools which received these threats, included DPS Dwarka, Krishna Model Public School and Sarvodaya Vidyalaya. As a precaution, the students and employees were thrown out of the campus. Police teams and bomb disposal squads were immediately sent to schools in response to the blasts. One of the laured schools, DPS Dwarka has closed its school today and postponed the middle examinations to be held today citing ‘unavoidable circumstances’.

DPS Dwarka said that “Dear parents, please note that the school will remain closed today due to unavoidable reasons, ie Saturday, September 2025. All school buses and private vans are being sent back immediately. Parents are requested to reach the stop to pick up their children. If private buses leave school, their children will have to take their children. The new dates will be postponed soon.

Apart from schools, colleges in different parts of the city have also received bomb threats. The University College of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, received a bomb threat on 9 September by email. On receiving the information, the college campus was evacuated without any chaos or noise. Later, the bomb disposal squad conducted a thorough examination of the college campus, after which it was declared safe at 1:30 pm and the bomb threat was found to be fake.

Another educational institution, Maulana Azad Medical College and the Chief Minister’s Secretariat of Delhi also received a bomb threat on the same day. According to DCP Nidhin Walson, there was no specific information in the email sent to the dean of Maulana Azad Medical College. However, a bomb disposal squad was later sent to the spot.
