Chennai, May 31 (IANS). Mohini Mani, mother of popular Tamil cinema actor Ajith Kumar, was cremated in Chennai on Sunday, where family, relatives, film personalities and well-wishers bid her a tearful farewell.
Mohini Mani, 84, died on Saturday due to age-related health problems. She was living in her house in Palavakkam, Chennai. It is being told that his health was not well for some time and due to his increasing age he was facing many health related problems.
It was told that when his mother died, Ajit Kumar was in Dubai. The actor was busy with his professional work, but as soon as he got the news of his mother’s demise, he left for Chennai. As soon as the news of his demise came out, there was a wave of mourning in the Tamil film industry. Political leaders, film artists and fans expressed deep grief over this.
Ajith Kumar’s father P. Subramaniam died in the year 2023 after a prolonged illness. In this hour of grief, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay reached Ajit Kumar’s house. He met the actor and his family and expressed his condolences.
Many prominent personalities from the film industry also came to pay tribute to Mohini Mani. Actor and politician R. Many film stars including Sarathkumar, actor Nassar and actress Trisha Krishnan reached Ajith Kumar’s house and met the family. Everyone paid tribute to the departed soul.
Mohini Mani’s last journey started from Injambakkam on Sunday. A large number of people paid tribute to him during the last journey. After this, the last rites rituals were completed at the cremation ground located in Besant Nagar. Ajit Kumar bid last farewell to his mother as per family traditions.
