Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday announced a lump sum of 25 thousand rupees to buy ‘tab’ to more than 10 thousand ‘Vikas Mitras’ of the state.
‘Vikas Mitra’ works by staying in the village and helps in making the benefits of government schemes effectively to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
Kumar said that the transport allowance of ‘Vikas Mitras’ will be increased from Rs 1,900 to Rs 2,500 per month and stationery allowance from Rs 900 to Rs 1,500 per month.
The Chief Minister said in the post on ‘X’ that the government has decided to give Rs 10,000 to more than 30 thousand education servants and ‘Talimi Markaz’ to buy smartphones.
Education servants and ‘Talimi Markaj’ work to connect Mahadalit, minority and extremely backward classes with formal school education. He said that along with this, the annual grant for teaching material at each center has been increased from Rs 3,405 to Rs 6,000.
Nitish said, “Our government is continuously working for the upliftment of the disadvantaged sections of the society.” The Chief Minister said in a post on ‘X’ that tablets to ‘Vikas Mitras’ working under the SC-ST Welfare Department will help in protecting the data of the beneficiaries of various welfare schemes.
