Balrampur. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the process of development progresses when the public elects good people. If you elect and send the mafia, it will suck the blood of the poor. We destroyed the mafia and are building houses for the poor on its lands. The double engine government is working with double speed. Providing facilities to farmers, businessmen and women. Today every district is connected to the mainstream of development. CM Yogi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth more than Rs 300 crore on Friday in Biloha, central city of Balrampur. During this period, beneficiaries of Chief Minister Housing Scheme Rural and other government schemes were also honoured. CM honored the students of Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls School for their excellent performance. He also interacted directly with the public on the development model of Balrampur which is on the path of progress. The Chief Minister said that nine years ago, whenever Durga Puja was held in Balrampur, there used to be riots in places like Pachpedwa, Gasdi, Balrampur, Utraula etc. I had to come from Gorakhpur and help people. Today 75 districts, 350 tehsils and more than 57 thousand gram panchayats of Uttar Pradesh are riot free. The state is progressing rapidly with the process of development. If the people of Balrampur went anywhere before 2017, there was an identity crisis. People used to associate him with the mafia. Mafia has been reduced to dust today, there is no identity crisis. Go out today and say that you are from UP and you will get full respect.
He said that remember before 2017 the poor did not get ration. SP goons used to eat ration. Now free ration is being provided to every poor. The facility of income and residence certificate is also being provided in villages. Ayushman card is being made available for the treatment of the poor. On one hand, poor welfare schemes and on the other hand, development works were increased. Benefits of all government schemes are being given without discrimination. The work is being done under PM Modi’s vision of ‘Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas’.
The Chief Minister said that if anyone compromises the security of the daughter or the businessman then he will not be spared. This is the declared policy of the government. Today investment is being made in the safe environment of the state. Balrampur is fortunate that a material like plastic is being manufactured by the sugar mill, which will get mixed in the soil after use.
He said that today UP is being recognized as the country’s youngest state with the highest investment and employment. UP is getting a new identity as the land of Ayodhya, Kashi, Maa Pateshwari, Maa Shakambhari, Naimisharanya, Shravasti, Jain Tirthankaras. You are getting this honor because you have elected and sent good public representatives. You made Kailashnath Shukla, Ram Pratap Verma, Palturam win.
The Chief Minister said that today I have come to the border of Gasdi and Tulsipur assembly. I came to Tulsipur in 2007, when there was a demand to build a bridge over Rapti river in Mathura Ghat. As soon as you made Kailash Nath Shukla the MLA from Tulsipur, the bridge at Mathura Ghat has also been approved. Development is taking place in Tulsipur and Balrampur. If Shailendra Singh Shailu had been the MLA in Gasdi, he would have brought rapid development. If you choose good people, good results will come. When you rose above familyism and there was a change in power, the government linked the poor with welfare schemes. Gave development, security and good governance. Gave university, gave scholarship to poor children.
CM Yogi discussed environmental protection along with the achievements of Balrampur. He said that World Environment Day inspires us that if there is water, there is tomorrow. If we pollute water sources or cut down forests, the environment is damaged. Humans will have to pay the price of damaging the environment. Today Tulsipur is blessed with projects worth more than Rs 300 crore. Nine years ago this was an aspirational district. According to the standards of NITI Aayog, this district was among the most backward districts of the country. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the double engine government worked at double speed, so this district has moved rapidly towards development.
CM Yogi said that at one time no one could think of realizing electricity, roads, Saryu National Project, Medical College or tap water scheme for every house in Balrampur. No one would have thought of building a Tharu Museum or Maa Pateshwari University. We built a university in the name of Mother Pateshwari. Construction of a medical college in the name of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Tharu Museum, keeping the memories of Nanaji Deshmukh alive. People of Vantangiya villages were given citizenship by giving them residential houses or land leases. Today the people of Tharu tribe have their own houses and schools for their children.
The Chief Minister said that according to the data of the Basic Education Department, the maximum enrollments this year have taken place in Balrampur. This is a good sign. Being a border district, Balrampur, which is growing rapidly with the process of development, is becoming a model of development. Foundation stone laid/inauguration of development projects in Balrampur Total projects: 126 Inauguration: 89 Foundation stone laid: 37 Total cost: 392.25 crore Cost of schemes inaugurated: 301.50 crore Cost of schemes laid foundation stone: 90.75 crore.
