Pushkar Singh Dhami: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted a detailed review of various important infrastructure and development projects of the state through Pragati Portal in the review meeting held at the Secretariat on Monday. In the meeting, detailed information was taken about 12 major projects worth Rs 6940 crore of Transport, Energy, Public Works, National Highways, Border Roads Organization and other departments. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that everyone’s contribution is necessary to fulfill Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s resolve of a developed India by 2047.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister instructed the officials that to further speed up the work on these projects, they should be reviewed every month at the Chief Minister level and in 10 days at the Chief Secretary level. He said that responsibility will be fixed on the concerned officers for delay in projects and strict action will also be taken as per rules. He said that the projects on which 50 percent work has been done should be completed by October 15, 2026. The Chief Minister said that the priority of the state government is to complete all the development projects within the stipulated time. He directed that the concerned departments should ensure quick coordinated action to resolve the projects which are getting delayed due to land transfer, forest clearance, land acquisition, compensation payment or other administrative reasons.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to regularly review each project using the Pragati portal as an effective monitoring mechanism and to dispose of the pending cases in a timely manner. He said that unnecessary delay in projects not only affects the development work but also adversely affects public interest and economic activities. In the meeting, the progress of Ramnagar ISBT, Ranikhet Bus Terminal, Tadikhet Depot and Workshop, Banbasa and Rudraprayag Power Substation Projects, Chardham Road Projects, Askot-Lipulekh Road, Mana Pass Road Project, National Highway Projects of Haridwar and Kashipur area was reviewed.
The Chief Minister directed the concerned departments to take action by setting clear deadlines for speedy resolution of pending cases related to forest land transfer, forest and environmental clearances, land acquisition and compensation distribution. He also instructed the District Magistrates to personally monitor the pending cases at the district level and ensure their prompt disposal.
The Chief Minister said that the projects related to Chardham Yatra, strategically important road projects in border areas, power infrastructure and transport facilities are very important for the overall development of the state and the facilities of the people. Timely implementation of these projects will boost tourism, trade, investment and employment opportunities. He instructed the officers that regular monitoring should be done by fixing responsibilities for each project and for those projects whose progress is less than the expected level, special action plans should be prepared and quick results should be ensured.
In the meeting, Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, Dr. R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretary Brijesh Kumar Sant, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Additional Secretary Dr. Meharban Singh Bisht, Banshidhar Tiwari, senior officers of concerned departments and District Magistrate were present through virtual medium.
