Patna, June 13 (IANS). Bihar BJP President Sanjay Saraogi has given a sharp reaction to the FIR in the hate speech case against former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He said that TMC has sinned against the people of Bengal in the last 15 years. Therefore, we will have to atone for our wrongdoings.
Speaking to IANS, Sanjay Saraogi said, “The kind of communal language that has been used is unfortunate. TMC has sinned with the people of Bengal in the last 15 years. I have always said that in the last 15 years, TMC has betrayed the people of West Bengal through corruption and alleged extortion in the name of ‘cut money’. It is natural that the law will take its course.”
He further said, “You must have seen that police and CID teams are continuously going to Abhishek Banerjee’s residence for questioning. Therefore, the wrongdoing will have to be atoned for. The general public has taken their revenge and wiped out TMC from Bengal. Due to this, there has been a stampede among the public representatives of TMC as well.”
Regarding the rebel TMC MPs, Sanjay Saraogi said, “The way corruption took place in West Bengal and looted in the name of Katmoney, Mamata Banerjee committed a sin with the public. She will have to suffer the consequences of this sin. That is why the rebel TMC MPs want to meet the Lok Sabha Speaker. They have also written asking for a seat to sit separately from the Lok Sabha Speaker.”
Saraogi also said that more than 60 MLAs defected from TMC. Leader of Opposition was announced among them. This clearly shows that there is a stampede in West Bengal. Now TMC MPs, MLAs and councilors feel that they cannot win on the party symbol.
At the same time, on the cancellation of Rajya Sabha nomination of Congress leader Meenakshi Natarajan in Madhya Pradesh, Sanjay Saraogi said, “Say whatever you want, but Bharatiya Janata Party has won all three Rajya Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh. If there is a case going on against you and you hide it, then it is natural that the returning officer has the right to reject the nomination.”
