New Delhi, June 26 (). Western Railways has taken a big step regarding the NEET examination which is going to be held on 21st June i.e. Sunday. Western Railway has announced that there will be no ‘Mega Block’ on the railways on the day of the exam.
According to the information given by Western Railways, there will be no ‘Jumbo Block’ in view of the NEET exam scheduled on June 21. Suburban services will run as per weekday timings, while AC suburban services will run as per Sunday timings.
At the same time, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Tuesday that about three and a half lakh candidates will appear in the NEET examination to be held in 59 districts of the state on June 21. He directed that the candidates appearing in the examination should be provided 50 percent discount in fare on showing the admit card in the buses of Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation.
Also, necessary temporary residential facilities should be provided for those candidates coming to other districts to take the examination, who do not have accommodation arrangements.
The Chief Minister directed to ensure all necessary arrangements to maintain the purity, transparency and sensitivity of the examination as per the guidelines of NTA. He asked to take prompt and effective action by keeping a close watch on efforts to spread rumours, misleading or false information on social media and other mediums.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav reviewed the preparations in the state in view of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2026. During this, he instructed the government officials to ensure ‘transparent, safe and error-free conduct’ of the examination at all the examination centres. This examination is scheduled to be held on June 21.
Chairing a high-level review meeting through video conference from the ministry, the Chief Minister said that the credibility of the national level examination depends on precise planning and flawless execution.
Chief Minister Yadav said in a statement that NEET is a national level examination. All preparations should be completed in advance, and the examination should be conducted with complete transparency. There should be no omission or error at any level.
