National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued dress code and other guidelines for students for NEET re-examination. NTA has informed about the acceptable clothing for students on the day of examination to be held on June 21, 2026. Also, the rules to be followed if a student comes to the examination center wearing a religious symbol like ‘Kalava’ (sacred thread) have also been clarified. Apart from this, instructions have also been given on what kind of water bottles can be carried inside the examination hall. Read NTA guidelines below.

**NTA guidelines for NEET re-examination**
* All candidates are allowed to carry a transparent water bottle in the examination hall.

*Candidates may carry their admit card in a transparent plastic pouch to protect it from damage caused by rain.

Candidates are allowed to wear items or symbols of their faith (e.g. religious symbols, Kalawa, turban, hijab or similar items). However, they will have to reach the examination center well in advance to get thoroughly searched by the security personnel.

* It is advisable to wear light clothes. However, if necessary, candidates can wear full-sleeved clothes or woolen clothes, provided they reach the examination center early enough for security check.

* It is advisable to wear slippers or low heel shoes. Candidates wearing high heeled shoes may face additional security check.

* It is strictly prohibited to carry any electronic device – like mobile phone, smartwatch, Bluetooth accessories, earphones or any communication device – inside the examination hall.

*Metallic items, large belt buckles, heavy jewelery and other accessories are not allowed in the examination hall.

*All candidates must undergo mandatory screening process before admission. Candidates are advised to reach the center on time so that the security check can be conducted without any hassle. For further details contact NTA Helpdesk.

The National Testing Agency has also said that candidates can contact NTA Helpdesk at 011-40759000/011-69227700 or send an email to neetug2026@nta.ac.in for any information related to NEET (UG)-2026 re-examination.
