Melbourne, July 9 (IANS). Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on Thursday said he will continue to work with business leaders and universities to enhance Australia’s economic ties with India.
After meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi here, PM Albanese shared a selfie and said that together, we are growing our economy and supporting Australian and Indian businesses.
“The relationships between our people have driven many of our business success stories. We will continue to work with business leaders and universities to enhance Australia’s economic ties with India,” the Australian PM posted on social media platform X.
“Creating jobs here at home and making the most of the trade and investment opportunities ahead,” he said.

According to information shared by the Ministry of External Affairs of India, the Governor of Victoria, Professor Margaret Gardner AC, welcomed PM Modi at the Government House of Victoria.
The Ministry of External Affairs said they discussed the growing educational linkages between India and Victoria, including academic cooperation, research partnerships and student mobility. He said that the strong people-to-people ties between the two countries are an important part of the India-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Earlier, PM Modi on Thursday stressed on the growing economic partnership between India and Australia. He described both the countries as natural and reliable partners amid global uncertainty. He also appealed to the businesses of both the countries to increase cooperation in areas ranging from clean energy and infrastructure to artificial intelligence and education.
