Jaipur. India Meteorological Department (IMD) Meteorological Centre, Jaipur has issued fresh Nowcast for various districts of Rajasthan. According to the department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain and strong winds with thunder in many parts of the state during the next 3 hours.
The Meteorological Department has issued yellow alert (keep monitoring) in many districts of the state.
Affected districts: Sirohi, Pali, Jalore, Beawar, Jodhpur, Sikar, Kotputli-Behror, Udaipur, Rajsamand, Balotra and Jhunjhunu districts and their surrounding areas.
Probable Weather: There is a possibility of light to moderate thunderstorms at isolated places along with sudden strong winds at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour and light to moderate rain in these areas.
According to the map, at present no special warning (Green Code) has been given regarding weather in most of the districts of Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bikaner, Sriganganagar, Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota and Bharatpur divisions.
Although this weather is generally not expected to have any major impact, yet in view of safety, the department has issued the following suggestions for the general public:
Do not take shelter under trees: Avoid standing under big trees in the open during thunderstorms or strong winds.
Stay in a safe place: During bad weather or lightning, take shelter in a permanent house or a safe place.
