Kolkata . West Bengal government minister Dilip Ghosh launched a scathing attack on Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, social activist Sonam Wangchuk and the opposition over the current deadlock in Parliament. He alleged that the aim of the opposition is not to discuss in Parliament but only to create ruckus. Taking aim at Rahul Gandhi, Dilip Ghosh said that around 100 police officers were injured during the recent protests, but Rahul Gandhi did not show any concern towards them. Raising the question, he said, “Are policemen not citizens? Only if they are beaten by their supporters or goons, they get worried. Whatever Rahul Gandhi does, his exile is not going to end.” Dilip Ghosh also reacted to Sonam Wangchuk ending his fast. He said that Sonam Wangchuk had gone on a hunger strike, after which the Union Health Minister came to meet her. JP Nadda broke his fast by giving him juice. The tradition of Satyagraha has been going on since the time of Mahatma Gandhi and we also respect it. So our respected minister went to meet him and talked.
Regarding the ongoing protests in the country, Dilip Ghosh said, “We know who these people are inspired by and for whom they are working. Some people become leaders like Rahul Gandhi, some like Tikait. In any movement, the same people become leaders and their slogans are also almost the same.”
He further claimed that sometimes similar sounds are heard from countries like Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh. This raises the question to what extent are the relationships between these people.
Attacking the opposition on the ongoing deadlock in Parliament, Dilip Ghosh said that the government is continuously appealing to the opposition to come to the House and discuss, but the opposition is not showing interest in the discussion. He alleged that the aim of the opposition is only to disrupt the proceedings of the House and create ruckus and not to have a serious debate on any issue.
