Indian Idol Winner: Jyotirmayi Nayak has won the trophy of Indian Idol 16. Along with this he has also won prize money of Rs 20 lakh.
The grand finale of Indian Idol 16 took place today i.e. on 26th July. Jyotirmoyee Nayak won the singing reality show trophy. With this he has won prize money of Rs 20 lakh. Jyotirmoyee Nayak got the highest number of votes from the audience. At the same time, Tanishk Shukla came at second place.
Jyotirmayee becomes the winner of Indian Idol
Jyotirmayee defeated fellow finalists Anshika Chonkar, Manraj Veer Singh, Maysmi Bose, Suhail Sufi and Tanishk Shukla by garnering the most votes from the audience. Tanishq became the first runner up, while Manraj stood third.

Where Jyothika got Rs 20 lakh. Whereas, the second runner ups got Rs 5 lakh. For his fine performance, he sang the song ‘Saiyaan O Saiyaan’, in which he created a perfect balance between voice control and emotional expression.

On her victory, Jyotirmoyee said that winning Indian Idol 16 feels like a dream. He said that his journey was life changing. Jyotirmoyee said that each of her performances inspired her to become a better singer, performer and person. Jyotirmoyee said that she will always remember whatever she learned in this journey.
Jyotirmoyee said that this trophy is not just hers, it belongs to all the people who stood by her, who made her dream come true. She said that she hopes to continue creating music that touches hearts, teaches them and makes everyone feel proud.
Indian Idol 16: These stars were seen in the show today
Jyotirmayee gave one better performance throughout the season. When she sang ‘O Jab Tak Hai Jaan Jaane Jahan Main Nachoongi’ on stage, veteran actress Hema Malini gave her a standing ovation. At the same time, in a performance she sang ‘Jaane Kyun Log Mohabbat Kiya Karte Hain’. Leena Chandavarkar became emotional in that episode. Talking about today’s grand finale, along with the show’s judges Shreya Ghoshal and Badshah, Usha Uthup, Udit Narayan, Papon, Kumar Sanu, Shehnaz Gill and Urmila Matondkar decorated the stage of the singing show.
Vishal Dadlani was also the judge of this season. However, he could not make his presence felt in the finale. But when the winner was being announced, Vishal became a part of the show through video call.
