Patna, 25 September (). Continuous action is being taken by the Bureau of Monitoring Investigation to curb corruption in Bihar. Under this, a special team of monitoring Bureau of Monitoring Investigation today arrested the planning officer and a data entry operator in Madhubani district, taking bribe.
According to information received from the bureau office, Madhubani District Planning Officer Mrinal Kumar Chaudhary has been arrested for Rs 20 thousand and data entry operator posted in District Planning Office, Rahul Kumar has been arrested for taking a bribe of Rs 10,000.
An official of the Monitoring Investigation Bureau said that Nitish Mohan, a resident of Fort village in Vaishali district, lodged a complaint with the Patna office of the Monitoring Investigation Bureau that the accused are demanding bribe by fearing the cancellation of two centers of Bihar skill development.
Nitish Mohan operates two centers of Bihar skill development. The complaint received by the bureau was verified and in the order of verification, evidence of bribe was found by the accused. After the prima facie allegations were found to be correct, a case was registered at the monitoring police station and Deputy Superintendent of Police Amarendra Kumar Vidyarthi was entrusted with the responsibility of researching the entire case.
A Dhawadal was formed under the leadership of the Deputy Superintendent of Police. While taking action on Thursday, Dhawadal arrested accused Mrinal Kumar Chaudhary with a bribe of Rs 20 thousand and Rahul Kumar with a bribe of Rs 10,000. It was told that both the accused are being questioned by the officials of the Bureau of Investigation.
It is noteworthy that this year is an action to register the 85th FIR against corruption by the Bureau of Monitoring Investigation. It is the 69th scandal related to trap. So far, 79 accused have been arrested. During this period, Rs 27.63 lakh of bribe has been recovered.
