New Delhi, 27 September (IANS). Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said on Saturday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to inaugurate India’s completely indigenous 4G stack and more than 97,500 indigenous BSNL towers towards strengthening digital connectivity across the country.
Union Minister Scindia said in a post on social media platform X that this initiative will ensure 100 percent 4G coverage in the entire country, which will strengthen the digital connectivity of every citizen.
Union Minister Scindia said, “On the occasion of a historical occasion for India’s telecom sector and 25 brilliant years of BSNL, PM Modi will inaugurate India’s completely indigenous 4G stacks and more than 97,500 indigenous BSNL towers in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Assam, Gujarat and Bihar.”
He said that these initiatives are a big leap in the direction of self -reliant India, which establishes India as a global leader in the sector of telecommunications.
The Union Minister shared a video and said, “25 years of connecting India, future based on indigenous strength. BSNL is celebrating its silver jubilee ‘Made in India’ with 4G revolution.”
Reposing an article by Union Minister Scindia, ‘PMO India’ said in a post on X that BSNL’s 4G stack is a symbol of indigenous spirit.
The PMO said in the post, “By connecting 22 million Indians with over 92,000 sites, it reflects India’s self -sufficiency journey, which promotes employment, exports, economic revival and leads the attitude of self -sufficient India.”
Prime Minister Modi is going to lay the foundation stone of development projects worth more than Rs 60,000 crore in Jharsuguda, Odisha.
These projects include major areas such as telecommunications, railways, higher education, healthcare, skill development and rural housing. Modi will also address a public meeting on this occasion.
Union Minister Scindia further said that it is the result of Prime Minister Modi’s self -sufficient Bharat resolution that today, India has developed an indigenous 4G stack in just 22 months.
He said, “This indigenous stack of BSNL shows that India is now not only able to provide services but can also develop technology and is moving rapidly towards becoming a global telecom leader.”
The Union Minister informed that the Prime Minister will also launch 100 percent 4G network of India under Digital India Fund. About 29,000 to 30,000 villages will be linked to it under a mission mode project.
