New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the newly constructed office of BJP’s Delhi unit on Delhi’s Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) route today. PM Modi said, no BJP office for us is less than a temple, any temple. BJP’s offices are not just buildings, these are strong episodes, which keep the party with the ground, with public availability. The BJP is in the government for service, not for power. These offices keep this consciousness awake. The Prime Minister said, BJP-NDA governments have given a new model of good governance in the country. We are also moving forward with the mantra of development and heritage. We have given top priority to the safety of our citizens. We have freed the country from big scams and have raised confidence of decisive war against corruption.

Modi said, Delhi BJP has got its new office on the holy festival of Navratri. This is a moment full of new resolutions and new dreams. It has been 45 years since the establishment of BJP. The seed from which the BJP has become such a big vat tree today was planted in October 1951. Then the Jana Sangh was established under the leadership of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and in the same period Delhi Jana Sangh also got its first president as Vaidya Gurudutt ji. From time to time, many leaders including Advani ji continued to command the Delhi Jana Sangh. The strength that Delhi BJP is today is the result of the sacrifice and hard work of millions of our workers in the last decades.

Modi said, countless leaders like Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj dedicated their lives to the party. The relationship between Delhi and BJP is not of any city and party, but to become a partner in service, culture and good and bad times. The BJP has been associated with the people here. We have served people here in every way. Jana Sangh activists helped the people who came after partition, arranged for rehabilitation. Advani ji became the voice of those people. During the 1984 anti -Sikh riots, Delhi BJP workers also protected our Sikh siblings. During this, BJP National President and Union Minister JP Nadda, Delhi BJP State President Virendra Sachdeva, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Delhi government ministers and other party leaders and large number of workers were also present.
