Guwahati, 30 September (IANA). In the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025, the Sri Lankan team won the toss and decided to bowl first. Cricket Mahakumbh has also started with this match between the two countries released in Guwahati on Tuesday. Team India has entered this match without fast bowler Renuka Singh.

Harmanpreet Kaur has the responsibility of winning the first Women’s World Cup title on the shoulders of Harmanpreet Kaur. The country has high hopes in this match with Pratika Rawal, Smriti Mandhana, Jemima Rodriguez and Shri Charani. Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who is considered to be a strong contender to win the cup on the home ground, has landed at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati with three spinners and two fast bowlers.

On the other hand, the command of the Sri Lankan team is in the hands of Chamari Athapathu. The opposition team has a chance to Hasini Perera, Harshita Samarvikrama, Udeshika Prabodhani and Inoca Ranavira in the opposition team’s playing XI.

The two countries would like to start their campaign with a win in the first match of the co-genre team tournament. The Indian women’s cricket team is waiting for their first title.

Team India’s record against Sri Lanka in ODI format has been very spectacular. A total of 35 ODIs have been played between India and Sri Lanka since 2000. During this time, Team India won 31 matches, while the Sri Lankan team could win only 3 matches. A match between the two countries has also been inconclusive. Fans believe that Team India will start their campaign with victory.

India’s Playing XI: Pratika Rawal, Smriti Mandhana, Harleen Deol, Harmanpreet Kaur (captain), Jemima Rodriguez, Richa Ghosh (wicketkeeper), Deepti Sharma, Amanjot Kaur, Sneh Rana, Kranti Gaur and Sri Charani.

Sri Lanka’s Playing XI: Chamari Athapathu (captain), Hasini Perera, Harshita Samarvikrama, Vishmi Gunratne, Kavisha Dilhari, Neelakshi D. Silva, Anushka Sanjeevani (wicketkeeper), Achini Kulsuria, Sugandhika Kumari, Udeshika Prabodhani and Inoca Ranavira.
