Uttarakhand news: On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid tribute to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi at the Chief Minister’s residence. He said that the principles of Gandhiji’s truth and non -violence are as important today as they were before. Dhami said that we should adopt a sense of non -violence and compassion towards humanity in our behavior, because this will be a true tribute to Gandhiji.
Tribute to Lal Bahadur Shastri
The Chief Minister also paid tribute to former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on his birth anniversary. He told that Shastri ji showed the path of self -respect and unity to the country with the slogan ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan’. His simplicity, integrity, hard work, morality and dedication to the nation are still a source of inspiration. We should learn from their lives and work in the interest of the country. Dhami urged the people to adopt the ideals of Gandhiji and Shastri ji in their lives, because their thoughts and actions make the country strong. Gandhiji brought freedom to the country on the strength of non -violence, while Shastri ji set an example of leadership with simplicity and dedication. The principles of both are still guides.

The Chief Minister said that the Uttarakhand government is committed to the development and public welfare of the state following the path shown by these great leaders. Many dignitaries were present at the event organized at the Chief Minister’s residence, who offered flowers on the paintings of Gandhiji and Shastri ji. The event was not only an opportunity to remember these great leaders, but also gives a message to convey their views to the general public. The Chief Minister appealed to the youth to adopt these ideals and serve the country and society.
