Two members of Rohit Godara-Goldi Brar-Virendra Charan gang were arrested after the encounter on Jaitpur-Kalindi Kunj Road in the capital Delhi on Thursday morning. He was allegedly given betel nut for the murder of comedian Munawar Farooqui. Police gave this information.
Police said that both the accused have been identified as Rahul and Sahil and they are from Panipat and Bhiwani in Haryana.
According to the investigating officials, both the miscreants used to get instructions from the mafia Rohit Godara living abroad, who was plotting to kill Farooqui along with Goldie Brar and Virendra Charan.
Police said they allegedly spy on Farooqui in Mumbai and Bengaluru.
An official said that Rahul, who was injured by a bullet, was wanted in connection with the triple murder in Yamunanagar, Haryana in December 2024. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The official said the weapons and a motorcycle used in the encounter have been seized.
