The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rains in five states of the country and has issued a red alert. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains may occur in Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa and Chhattisgarh in the coming few hours. Red alert has been issued for different parts of all the states. Apart from this, heavy rains are also expected in many areas of central and western India and an orange alert has been issued.

Heavy to very heavy rains are also expected in Uttarakhand and north-eastern states. Red alert has been issued for these states as well.

Heavy rain is also predicted in Rajasthan

Due to the activity of monsoon, heavy rain is expected in many divisions of Rajasthan in the coming days. The weather center gave this information on Saturday. According to the Jaipur Meteorological Center, the low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal will move towards Odisha, Chhattisgarh today and it is likely to weaken in the next 12 hours. The Meteorological Center said that the monsoon ‘trough line’ is passing through Jaisalmer and Ajmer. According to this, due to the effect of the above system, rain is likely to continue in some places of eastern Rajasthan in the coming days.

Chances of rain till 21-23 July

There is a possibility of increase in rain activities in eastern Rajasthan on 21-23 July and heavy rains at some places and very heavy rains at one or two places in Kota, Udaipur, Jaipur, Ajmer and Bharatpur divisions. At the same time, there is a possibility of thunderstorms and rain activities in some parts of Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions of western Rajasthan in the coming days. (Input- PTI language)
