Adhikamas is considered very sacred and virtuous in Hindu religion. There is a religious belief that the chanting, penance, charity and worship done in this month gives manifold results. In the year 2026, the full moon of Adhikamas is falling on 30 May. On this day, some special remedies related to cowry are considered very beneficial to get the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi and financial happiness and prosperity.

Do these remedies on Adhikamas Purnima
1. Keep cowries tied in red cloth
Take 11 or 21 yellow cowries on the day of full moon. Keep them in front of Goddess Lakshmi during puja and then tie them in a red cloth and keep them in a safe or a place where money is kept. It is believed that this strengthens the chances of financial gain.
2. Remedy of cowrie and turmeric
Apply turmeric on a yellow coin and keep it in the puja room. After this, chant the mantra “Om Shri Mahalakshmyai Namah”. By doing this it is believed that there will be happiness and prosperity in the house.
3. For progress in business
If there is a hindrance in business, then on the full moon day of Adhikamas, tie 7 cowries in a red cloth and keep them in the neck of your shop or office. There is a religious belief that this brings positive changes in business.
4. For economic stability
After worshiping Goddess Lakshmi on the full moon night, it is considered auspicious to keep cowries in the safe along with silver coins.

Be sure to clean the house and place of worship. Offer lotus flowers and kheer to Goddess Lakshmi. Maintain a positive mind and faith during puja.
