Two years later, the Ardh Kumbh Mela held in Haridwar in 2027 will be historic in many ways. History will be created for the first time in this Ardh Kumbh, when there will be three royal baths of saints, disinterests, indifferent akharas like Kumbh. Now the Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad has also approved this proposal of the government. The Akhara Parishad has now decided the dates of these nectar baths. The Akhara Parishad has decided to take a major change in the Kumbh Ardh Kumbh tradition, taking a three royal bath.
The Akhara Parishad has announced that the first Amrit bath will be held on 6 March on the occasion of Mahashivaratri. At the same time, the second royal bath will be held on 8 March on Somavati Amavasya. The third and last nectar bath will take place on 14 April on Vaishakhi i.e. Aries Sankranti. Aries Sankranti is the main Amrit bathing festival on Kumbh festival. Although there will be a major bath on Makar Sankranti on 14 January, but it will be a festival bath rather than a nectar bath.
After some time, the government will make an official announcement of these nectar bath dates, so that all arrangements are made accordingly. On the other hand, the Akhara Parishad has begun to finalize the preparations. Mr. Mahant Ravindra Puri, President of the Akhara Parishad and Secretary of Niranjani Akhara, says that the importance of Amrit bathing is Haridwar Kumbh and now the soul of Ardh Kumbh.
The tradition of Ardh Kumbh is only in Prayagraj and Haridwar. In that too, Ardh Kumbh festival in Prayagraj is like Kumbh and Purnakumbh. But till now the organizing of Ardh Kumbh in Haridwar was limited to the bathing festival of devotees only. Because in the year in Haridwar, Ardh Kumbh Yoga is formed, the same year there is a Simhastha festival in Trimbakeshwar Nashik or Ujjain due to the difference of date or Samvat.
Sadhu Saints Akhara departs from there. But this time Simhastha 2027 Trimbakeshwar will be held in July-August in Nashik, while Haridwar will be held in March-April. Because of this, the event will be easy for the Akhara Council.
The year in Ujjain, Simhastha festival in May-June and Ardh Kumbh in Haridwar in the same year, increases the association with it. This is the reason that sanyasi arena is not installed in Haridwar Ardh Kumbh. There was no traditional system of city entry and camp ie camp. But now Haridwar will witness the beginning of a new tradition.
