Ayodhya: The new year is starting with religious enthusiasm in Ayodhya. Lakhs of devotees have gathered in the city, slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ are echoing on the streets and long queues are forming outside the temples. Ram Mandir Trust and district administration estimate that 4 to 10 lakh devotees may reach Ayodhya on January 1. Keeping in view the crowd, the darshan system has been further strengthened, so that every devotee can easily have darshan of the Lord.

If you are also coming with your family to visit Ayodhya on New Year, then first know the opening and closing times of these major temples. This will save your time and make darshan easier.

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple

Child Ram will appear in special makeup to the devotees on New Year. Ramlala wearing a gold crown and yellow robe will continue to give darshan from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm. For smooth darshan even in heavy crowd, 10 separate lines have been made, through which a devotee can wait before the Lord for about 7 minutes.

Hanumangarhi Temple

Ayodhya’s famous Siddha Peeth Hanumangarhi, where child Hanuman is seated in the lap of Mata Anjani, is the first temple to be opened. Here the gates open at 4:00 am with Mangala Aarti and darshan continues till 10:00 pm. There is a possibility of queues up to 2 kilometers long here also on New Year.

Kanak Bhavan

The time of darshan in this ancient and grand Kanak Bhavan, which was given in appearance to Mata Sita by Mata Kaikai, is divided into two parts:
– 7:00 am to 11:00 pm
– 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Dasharatha Palace

This historical palace of King Dashrath, where the entire Ram family resides together, is situated between Ram Temple and Hanumangarhi. It is considered the main center of faith. Darshan is available here continuously from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm.

Make a note of these timings before coming to Ayodhya, so that you can visit all the major temples without any hassle. The administration has made special arrangements for crowd management.
