Tuesday of Jyeshtha month is especially known as “Bade Mangal” or “Budhwa Mangal” in North India. This day is considered extremely auspicious for worshiping Lord Hanuman. It is believed that worshiping Bajrangbali on Tuesday of Jyeshtha bestows special blessings on the devotees and brings happiness and peace in life.

This time due to Adhikamaas, a total of eight big Mars are falling in the month of Jyeshtha. Of these, the seventh Bada Mangal is being celebrated on 16 June 2026, regarding which special enthusiasm is being seen among the devotees.

Importance of Bade Mangal

According to religious beliefs, worshiping Lord Hanuman on the day of Bad Mangal removes all kinds of troubles. This day is considered especially important for courage, strength and protection from negative energy.

It is believed that by observing fast and worshiping as per rituals on this day, wishes are fulfilled and obstacles in life are removed.

Worship and traditions

On the occasion of Bada Mangal, devotees take bath in the morning and visit Hanuman temples and offer vermilion, jasmine oil, red flowers and laddus. Bhandara is also organized at many places, in which Prasad is distributed to the devotees.

Chanting Hanuman Chalisa, Bajrang Baan and Hanuman mantras on this day is considered especially fruitful.
