Lucknow, Amrit Vichar: Cows were worshiped on Gopashtami on Wednesday. The Deputy Chief Minister, Tourism Minister and Municipal Commissioner performed puja in the cowsheds. The Deputy Chief Minister applied Tilak to the cow and fed it Chunari Odhai and jaggery, while the Tourism Minister fed it banana. Apart from Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Legislative Council member Mukesh Sharma and organizer Anurag Mishra councilor also participated in the 118th Gopashtami festival organized at Avadh Goshala located at Chowk.
Here the area residents fed green fodder and jaggery to the cows. The Deputy Chief Minister appealed to the people to serve the cows. He said that cow is the nurturer of purity. She is the fortune teller of every house. He congratulated Avadh Gaushala Committee coordinator Anurag Mishra.
Mukesh Sharma said that cow is the soul of our culture and cow rearing and cow service brings prosperity to the society. A program was also organized at Laxman Gaushala located in Jankipuram Sector F. Here Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh, MLA Neeraj Bora, his wife Bindu Bora, Additional Municipal Commissioner Dr. Arvind Rao, Animal Welfare Officer Dr. Abhinav Verma participated. The MLA honored tourism by giving memento. Be present. Municipal Commissioner Gaurav Kumar fed jaggery to the cows at Radha Upvan Gaushala located in Jarhara. Cow herders honored
Cow decoration competition was also organized in the morning in Awadh Gaushala. 68 cows participated in it. Nandi cow herder Rahul Shukla was given the first prize, Shyama cow herder Guddu Yadav was given the second prize and Sujit was given the third prize. Nandi cow was given Rs 2100 and Shyama cow was given Rs 1100 as prize. Cow keepers Sanjay Gupta, Rakesh Shukla, Neeraj Awasthi, Lokesh Bihari, Mahant Vishal Gaur, Brajesh Kashyap were honored by the Deputy Chief Minister and MLC by wearing body clothes.
