Jaunpur Devotees performed the darshan of Mata Rani in the form of Mahagauri on Tuesday on the Ashtami date of Sharadiya Navratri at the historic Maa Sheetla Chowkia Dham located in the line market area of Jaunpur district in Uttar Pradesh. According to Goddess Bhagwat Purana, Goddess Parvati did harsh penance to get Lord Shiva as her husband, after which she is known as Mahagauri. Maa Mahagauri’s favorite flower is the queen of the night. He is dominated by Rahu.
This is the reason that Maa Mahagauri is worshiped to get rid of Rahu dosha. There is religious belief that Maa Mahagauri has control over Rahu. Rahu, worshiping them is necessary to prevent defects. The impossible work is also possible due to the worship of Mahagauri. Mahagauri, the eighth form of Maa Durga, is also very popular. It is considered auspicious to offer mogre flowers at the feet of the mother on this day.
Also, the mother must offer coconut years and laddus, because the mother’s favorite bhog is considered coconut. Devotees worshiped Maa Sheetla Mata Rani in the form of Goddess Mahagauri Mata in Ashtami. At 4 am, the temple priest Jai Narayan worshiped the Aarti by performing a grand adornment of Mata Rani to open the doors of the temple. Before opening the temple, there was a long queue of devotees to see Mata Rani from Brahma Muhurta.
At the same time, after visiting the darshan, the visitors were also worshiped in Kalabhairav Nath Temple and Maa Kali temple situated next to the holy kund. In terms of security, Ish Chandra Yadav, the in -charge of Dham Police Outpost in the temple complex area, was present with the associate police and PAC team.
