Lucknow, Amrit Vichar: This year, a rare coincidence is taking place on the occasion of Holi from the astrological point of view. Bhadra will be in effect at the time of Holika Dahan on March 2, while Khagras lunar eclipse is occurring on the day of Dhulendi on March 3. There is confusion among people regarding this.
Astrologer Pandit Ramji told that due to lunar eclipse on March 3, there will be Sutak period, which will start nine hours before the eclipse. Auspicious works, festivals and temple darshan are considered prohibited during Sutak period, hence according to the scriptures, it is not appropriate to play Holi on March 3. In such a situation, the festival of colors will be celebrated on 4th March.
He told that on March 2, Chaturdashi Tithi will last till 5:18 pm, after which the full moon will start, which will last till March 3 at 4:33 pm. Bhadra with full moon will be from 5:18 pm on March 2 to 4:56 am on March 3.
According to the scriptures, there is a tradition of burning Holika in the tail part of Bhadra. This year the most auspicious time for Holika Dahan will be from 12:50 to 2:02 am. Those who cannot burn at this time, they can burn in the morning after Bhadra ends or after the eclipse ends. This is considered to be a very rare coincidence.
