Holika Dahan today at midnight: Timing changed due to Bhadra and lunar eclipse, Holi with colors on March 4

Lucknow, Amrit Vichar: There is confusion regarding the date of Holika Dahan. According to astrologers, there has been a change in the Muhurta due to Bhadra and lunar eclipse. Acharya Pt. Anand Dubey told that according to Rishikesh Panchang of Kashi, the full moon will be from 5:18 pm on March 2 to 4:33 pm on March 3. Bhadra is from 5:18 pm on March 2 to 4:56 am on March 3. Holika Dahan can be done in Bhadra Putch from 12:50 am to 2:02 am. After the end of Bhadra, the period without Bhadra after 4:56 am on March 3 will also be auspicious.

Astrologer SS Nagpal told that Pradosh Vyapini Purnima without Bhadra is considered best for Holika Dahan. If Bhadra ends before midnight then Dahan should be done after Pradosh. Burning Holika in Bhadra mouth is prohibited in the scriptures.
