According to Vastu expert Nitika Sharma, just as you pay attention to the cleanliness, maintenance and decoration inside your house, it is equally important to take care of the main door. Therefore, clean the main door regularly. If the area of the main gate is damaged, or if the gate is made of iron and is rusted, get it repaired immediately. If the door is wooden and is broken, get it repaired as well. Remove the pile of shoes and slippers immediately. If this area is dirty or bad, it increases negative energy.
Vastu Remedies for Main Door:
Don’t pile unnecessary things on the doorstep. However, the main entrance should not be kept completely empty. You can decorate it with flowers, toran (decorative pendant) etc. You can also make auspicious symbols like swastika or shubh-labh. This maintains positivity. It is believed that if the threshold is completely empty, then there is no happiness and prosperity in the house.
To remove Vaastu defects, you can also try this remedy using a small cloth bag. Take a red cloth and fill 1 teaspoon of salt in it, then hang this bag above the main entrance of your house. Salt completely absorbs negative energy. However, keep in mind that you should change the salt in the cloth bag every 15-20 days and flush out the old salt in water.
To remove Vaastu defects or negative energy, every morning, fill a vessel with water, place mango leaves and flowers over it, and place it on the right side of the entrance. Light a lamp at the main door in the evening. If it is not possible to do this remedy daily, then do it on special dates like Ekadashi, Purnima and Friday. This will remove Vaastu defects and Goddess Lakshmi will reside in your house.
