Jammu and Kashmir: Vaishno Devi's visit started again after temporary restrictions for three weeks

Jammu. The journey of Mata Vaishno Devi Temple on Trikuta hills in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir started again on Wednesday amid the slogans of ‘Jai Mata Di’. Officials gave information about this. Officials said the journey was postponed for 22 days due to disastrous landslides. 34 people were killed and 20 were injured in this landslide.

Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) announced to resume the journey in the event of a favorable weather from this morning, causing the faces of many devotees, caming in Katra city. Katra city is the base camp of pilgrims. Hundreds of devotees gathered at the Banganga Darshani gate, the beginning site of the yatra and expressed immense happiness and relief when the journey started.

Shrine board officials said that the journey started at six in the morning after being temporarily postponed due to bad weather and necessary maintenance of the route leading to the temple to the temple. Officials said that the devotees are advised to keep a legitimate identity card, follow the prescribed routes and cooperate with the ground employees. He informed that radio frequency ID (RFID) based tracking will be mandatory so that transparency remains and information of devotees will continue to be received. The temple board expressed gratitude to all the devotees for showing patience and understanding during temporary suspension.
