Amrit Vichar Nainital: June 15 is the foundation day of Kainchi Dham in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. There will be a grand event. A fair will also be held. Its preparations are going on with great enthusiasm. The police administration has prepared a foolproof plan for security arrangements and crowd management. On Friday, IG Nivedita Kukreti and Nainital SSP Dr. Manjunath TC held a high-level review meeting at Haldwani Medical College. Policemen have been instructed to remain alert at every moment regarding security arrangements, traffic and crowd control.

Officials have directed policemen that tight security arrangements will be ensured at the temple premises, entrance gates, parking lots and major routes during the grand fair organized on the Kainchi Dham Foundation Day.

The bomb disposal squad will conduct continuous investigation operations. Immediate action should be taken against any suspicious person or thing. Local intelligence units will remain alert 24 hours. Keeping in view the huge crowd of devotees, a traffic plan has been prepared. The movement of heavy vehicles on narrow roads and bridges will be completely closed.

The parking system has been well organized. Shuttle service will be operated for the convenience of devotees. A lost and found center will also be set up. There will be volunteers to help the devotees coming to the fair.

SP Traffic Dr. Jagdish Chandra said that a special sticker system will be implemented for identification and control of vehicles. Only vehicles with valid hotel booking and designated parking arrangements will be allowed entry. Officers will also be provided with communication tools for better coordination and quick communication.

Security blueprint from four super zones

The police-administration has drawn up an impenetrable blueprint for the security of the devotees coming to the fair. The fair area is divided into four super zones and 14 zones. Officers will be deployed in every zone, who will monitor their duty points. Under the security arrangements, three SSP/SP, eight Additional Superintendents of Police, 26 Inspectors and SHOs, four Traffic Inspectors, 11 Traffic Sub-Inspectors, 146 Sub-Inspectors and Additional Sub-Inspectors, 506 constables, 455 recruit constables, two company PAC, two companies of CAPF, SDRF, fire brigade and bomb disposal squad were deployed.
