One day we have to go into the lap of death. The purpose of life is to realize God and attain the ultimate destination. But how many people are there who pay attention to this? No one is free from thirst. Someone is engrossed in sensual pleasures. Some people are filled with ego, while others are engrossed in confusion. This golden opportunity is emerging while solving these ironies. Death is dancing overhead. There is no confidence in the moment. Who knows at what moment death will strangle you. Who knows what plans you are making today, it is possible that tomorrow all these will be ruined and our camp will be pitched in some other country.
It is very unfortunate to remain unconscious at such a critical time. There is still time. Open your eyes. Be alert. What is life, what are we, what is the world, what is our purpose? Consider these questions as important as you consider bread. By continuously thinking about these questions, you will start on the path that requires preparation for death; the work that has to be done tomorrow will have to be thought about today. You do not know the time of your death, therefore preparation for it should start from today, from this very moment.
It is best to live by understanding the philosophy of non-attachment karmayoga. The bonds of Maya bind us because we get entangled in them. Become absorbed. Follow your wife, son, family with great love, make them the basis of worship and not your property. Do not consider them your property. Otherwise you will be killed badly. You will be greatly deceived. You must acquire property, but for the right purpose. Not to suffer like honey bees. Do all the work in the same way as worldly people do, but keep your perspective different. Remember, the things of the world are not your things. Other souls are not your slaves.
Mine and yours cannot live together. That’s it, the whole knot of Maya is just this. The entire knowledge of yoga is to solve this knot. We commit sinful acts because our ego is very narrow. When you say that I have so much property, nature slaps you on the cheek that you are a fool! You come and take control over it after some time, this flow has been going on since time immemorial. Gold and silver are not yours, they belong to nature. The one whom you consider a woman, must have been your mother innumerable times. Souls are free, no one is anyone’s slave. Every particle of the world is dancing at a very fast pace. Nothing is stable. If you want to see the joy of a flowing river, then see, if someone stands to stop it, it will be moved aside.
Ignorance is the cause of sorrow, distress, pain and suffering. There is only one reason for suffering at the time of death, burning in the flames of hell, wandering among ghosts and hanging in the gallows of birth and death – ignorance, only ignorance. Move from darkness to light. Move from death to immortality. Religious rituals cannot benefit the soul. Don’t look to others to surpass us. Only Purnaguru Ki can cross you. Under his guidance, make your heart big, generous, high and great. Remove ego and look at everything with introspection. Soak your soul in love and sprinkle the nectar of love on the entire world without any discrimination. Perform your duty religiously. Do not allow even the slightest laxity in your behavior and actions, but remain like a lotus leaf. Become a Karmayogi like King Janak. Be detached. Look everywhere with intimacy. Experience your greatness and hold your head high with pride and say – Soham, meaning I am He.
Through self-knowledge you can make this world and the next world completely blissful. Death will not hurt you again. Rather, it will seem like a game. You will rise higher and achieve great goals. To prepare for death, one should start thinking about the pure form of the soul from today itself.
